The letter added to the end of the model number indicates each yearly iteration, so the H is 2 years older than the J. Otherwise, they are the same model but the newer one will generally have slightly updated chipsets and might have more RAM and a slightly faster CPU. You're generally safe to get an older model if you want to save some money and don't mind the possibility for a little slower response speeds with built in streaming apps. (If you use an external streaming device like a Roku/Apple TV/Amazon Fire, none of these TV differences will matter or impact your experience.) Hope that helps!

The picture processor of the A80J is Cognitive Processor XR while the A8H is Picture Processor X1 Ultimate. The A80J Cognitive Processor XR cross-analyzes data, enhancing picture quality in the same way that the human eye focuses for more realistic color and depth, and with XR OLED Contrast, brightness is adjusted for higher peaks in glare and deeper blacks in shadow—no more details overwhelmed by shadow or lost in blown-out highlights while the A8H Picture Processor X1 Ultimate analyzes content to bring out OLEDs intense contrast with pure blacks, peak brightness, and natural colors. Object-based HDR remastering happens in real-time to detect hundreds of individual objects on-screen and intelligently upscale everything you see to near-4K HDR quality so everything you watch is clear, bright, and incredibly realistic. Also, the A80J supports 4K XR Super Resolution that detects individual objects in a picture and reproduces virtually real-world textures on screen. Our BRAVIA XR processor precisely analyzes and processes data to power 4K pictures with four times the resolution of Full HD to enrich scenes with real-world detail and texture.
