No, the remote is not backlit. It is also a very simple remote with no number pad. It has the standard volume and channel up/down buttons along with quick access app buttons like Netflix, Disney+, etc.

There is a version with a slightly different model number that does. A80cl has it.

Premium price, but cheap remote.
