How dark are the blacks on this set? null

We are very pleased. We had a high-end LG that was very good, but this one is much better.

When you're watching something and the screen goes to black in between the title or the credits, or there is just some red letters across the screen, it looks like they are floating in space. There is no light coming through the black. It freaked me out the first time, as I watch in a dark room and like a flash, the whole room was dark, couldn't even see the TV, just the bright red lettering. It's an amazing TV! I bought the 55" and now I want the 65" for my living room.

Very, very back. Picture is one of the best of the best.
