Yes. You can connect using Bluetooth and then choose them as an audio output option which will turn off TV speakers or a sound bar function. Very easy to switch between which audio output you want to use. Once the air pods are paired they stay paired with TV until you choose to delete them as an audio source. The TV sounds amazing through them.
