  • QuestionWhy is BestBuy listing 4 HDMI 2.1 ports when Sony themselves confirm in this Q&A section there are only 2 with 2.1? The other 2 are 2.0. Did a software update occur? Otherwise, I think, first the MyBestBuy benefits go down hill & now false tech specs SMH.

    • Answer X90k is brighter and has better color production due an higher color gamut, however the x90j has better contrast and better local dimming

    • Answer I’ve have both. LED if you watch a lot of YouTube or play video games. OLED if you watch only movies. My OLED had the YouTube logo burned into the screen after 1 year. The Sony x90k gives you really good blacks with some edge blooming during bright scenes, but color is great and is as close to OLED as you can get without the worry of burn in.

  • QuestionI am considering purchasing the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR X90K 4K HDR Full Array LED Google TV. But it all depends on the remote. The one furnished is a stripped down remote with basic functions. I want to be able to control the tv w/o using a sub menu.

    • Answer What are you trying to do with the remote. We purchased the TV and was quite disappointed with the remote. Found out there is more functionality. Here is my review update: After purchasing this TV I reached out to Sony asking about exchanging the remote for one that has more capabilities (fast forward, rewind specifically). They told me they do not exchange remotes. I told them about the inability on the remote to be able to do this functionality. I was told by Customer Support and Technical Support I would need to purchase a different remote that allowed for this functionality. After spending $1500 on a TV I was not going to do this. Instead I went to get the remote from another Sony TV and it worked on the new TV. Problem solved. Today, I’m watching TV on an LG set that we also own and used ‘circle button’ that is used to navigate the menus to fast forward through commercials. Idea … try it on the new Sony remote. Guess what … that will also fast forward and rewind a TV show! SONY - please update your user guide to reflect this and also educate your tech support and customer support on this capability.

    • Answer Yes. You can connect using Bluetooth and then choose them as an audio output option which will turn off TV speakers or a sound bar function. Very easy to switch between which audio output you want to use. Once the air pods are paired they stay paired with TV until you choose to delete them as an audio source. The TV sounds amazing through them.

    • Answer small remote, small buttons, not made for big hands and fingers, I ended up getting a replacement remote from amazon to use instead of the one that came with the tv.
