What are you trying to do with the remote. We purchased the TV and was quite disappointed with the remote. Found out there is more functionality. Here is my review update: After purchasing this TV I reached out to Sony asking about exchanging the remote for one that has more capabilities (fast forward, rewind specifically). They told me they do not exchange remotes. I told them about the inability on the remote to be able to do this functionality. I was told by Customer Support and Technical Support I would need to purchase a different remote that allowed for this functionality. After spending $1500 on a TV I was not going to do this. Instead I went to get the remote from another Sony TV and it worked on the new TV. Problem solved. Today, I’m watching TV on an LG set that we also own and used ‘circle button’ that is used to navigate the menus to fast forward through commercials. Idea … try it on the new Sony remote. Guess what … that will also fast forward and rewind a TV show! SONY - please update your user guide to reflect this and also educate your tech support and customer support on this capability.
