Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, The standard remote control included with the BRAVIA XR8B is not backlit. We completely understand how convenient a backlit remote is, especially for creating that perfect low-light movie night atmosphere. While it isn't included in the box, the good news is that we do offer a fully compatible premium backlit remote as an optional upgrade. You can purchase this through our authorized accessories partner, Encompass, at the link below: https://sony.encompass.com/item/13369710/Sony/1-016-949-21/ We hope this alternative helps you get the most out of your new TV. Thanks for choosing Sony! Regards, Dominick
