Same thing happened to us. TV was just over 2 years old. Geek Squad from Best Buy came out. Said that the red blinking 6 times a cycle meant something was seriously wrong and it was. Part was not working and cost to purchase and install the part was over $500. Ended up buying a new one. Geek Squad said it could have been caused by an electrical surge even though we had a surge protector.
