• Almost 2 inches, I have it on a stand over a table. I personally don't like to set it up on a wall.

• I would believe not more than 6 inches, but not knowing the thickness of the mount, this is just a guess. These new TVs are really thin, in comparison with older models. As a side note, I love my new 65 inch Sony TV.
