OLEDs are a different animal. If you watch TV in a dark room then OLED is the way to go. But if you watch in daylight or a bright room it's best to have an LCD like this one. If you go to best buy and look at the OLED settings you will see they have ithe OLED turned up to max on brightness, while the LCD can get much brighter to accomodate a brighter room. Also OLEDs can suffer burn in while an LCD wont

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was not happy with my Z9F. Or I was disappointed with blacks on the Z9F. I saw very little improvement from my 6 year old 1080P TV. I requested best buy for a refund. best Buy requested I contact the Geek squad first. The Geek squad TV alignment is $250. Since I had purchased a Geek squad whole house device warranty it cost was only $50. All the colors were set a max the alignment did bring the colors back into proper calibration. After the TV was calibrated I was deployed to a Navy ship so I did not get to return the TV. I purchased several 4K HDR movies and a 4K Cambridge Video player. The movies looked good but there was no wow factor. The picture after calibration looked washed out. The color was not intense. I turned the black level down 7 clicks and the picture looked much better the night I left for the navy. The night before I left I found the 4K player was set to 4.2.2.2 which I think is 1080 P and not 4.4.4.4 for 4K. Things I still need to check next year when I get home, Connect the 4K player straight to the TV to see if the receiver is crushing the blacks. I put a $650 4K HDMI card into my receiver so the receiver should not be the problem. Change the 4K player to 4.4.4.4 and replay the 4K HDR movies. I also saw the rainbow affect when people were sweaters. The TV tuner is better. I tried to self calibrate the TV with a test disk. The 3 black bars on the right wereall one black area and on the left the whites were also blended together. I did not have time to recheck the blacks after calibration. Even though the picture was washed out after calibration the detail and colors were perfect just not intense. After self calibration when the first commercial came on I almost went blind because the picture was so bright.

The A8F has stellar performance in dark rooms; and the Z9F is bright enough for our application between two large west facing windows.
