“If headphones are connected to the audio output jack do the TV's speakers still have sound as well?”

As a general rule, the audio jack on any audio device will disable the internal speakers in the TV when a pair of headphones is plugged in. But, you would need a very long headphone cord to listen to the audio and still appreciate the size of the TV screen and the picture it presents to you. I am not sure if the audio out RCA jacks would be disabled or not or whether the digital audio optical fiber output is disabled either.
