If the specication is 110-120 volts, it means it is not manufactured to be powered by any voltage outside the specified range. I know there are ones whose specifications are 240 volts. Voltage specifications are based on what region of the world it's going to be used

Please try again later.@AM, The marketing specification for the XBR75X900F indicates "AC 120V for UL cUL AC 110-240V for other" which means if you purchased the TV in the U.S. or Canada, it will only work with AC 120 V of power, but if you purchased the TV outside US or Canada, then it can support AC 110-240 V. "Other" means other country outside US and Canada. -Sam
