I have both and it’s really a toss up. The Samsung is less expensive but the Sony on “Vivid” picture is incredible!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend doing a comparison on the Best Buy website with two. Obviously there is a price difference, but I love love the my selection it is top of line in 8K and I matched it up with complete Bose sound system, and sounds like a movie theater in my home. The picture quality is unbelievable!!! This is one heavy beast, so if I would recommend mounting it with full motion tiit mount which will run about $500, Geek Squad did a terrific good setting everything up for me. I hope I was able to help you. Good luck with your purchase.

Although we cannot compare the subjective experience of picture quality between the two brands, we can guarantee you that our Z9J are of great quality. Explore the world with a TV that elevates everything you watch. Powered by the all-new Cognitive Processor XR, the BRAVIA XR Z9J transforms your content into near-8K quality for incredibly real and immersive pictures. X-Wide Angle technology preserves vibrant real-world colors and retains more brightness while viewing the TV from any angle so even people watching at the sides get a premium viewing experience. X-Anti Reflection ensures a clearer screen with reduced glare and light reflection, making watching in bright rooms a great experience. That being said, the two TVs are very different in terms of specifications and features such as backlight type, picture and sound (processing), software (operating system), and connectivity options. Please check each on Best Buy before making a decision. These things can change your ability to use the TV for your intended purpose. Thank you for asking and please let us know how else we can help. Regards, Jess
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't give you all the specifics because I don't know them. I can tell you I'm very happy with the Sony. I can also say that the Eek Squad that mounted the TV for me, reinforced what the industry reviews generally say - Sony has the best processors.
