No. The A6000 cannot capture a still image while simultaneously recording a movie. You can extract a single frame from a movie, but it will have the aspect ratio (4:3 for MPG, 16:9 for everything else) and resolution (1920x1080 versus 6000x400, etc.) of the movie.
