Hello, here are your answers: 1. AC Power is the primary source, standard power cord. The Battery backup is Lithium, not Standard. 2. There is a Sleep Button right on top with the usual 90/60/30/15 Options
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1) yes, it is powered by an electric power cord. The battery is there for backup purposes. 2) yes, there is a sleep button on the top of the radio. I don't use that feature but that should work, no problem. NOTE: the sound quality is decent to good; it won't blow you away but it is good. Sony stuff is usually good to great - this am/fm clock radio seems like a good purchase for you (the price is fair too, in my opinion).
