• Yes. Default setting is only optical zoom. Settings can be adjusted to allow digital zoom to begin after the 12x optic zoom maxes out up to total of 160x digital

• Yes. The default setting is digital zoom off. You can change seating to allow up to 160x digital zoom but it is pretty unstable once you zoom past optical limits and pretty grainy if you max zoom
