Yes, This camcorder has a 1" image sensor which allows for higher quality low light performance. You may want to also look at the Sony AX53 however the sensor is smaller but the stabilization is better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I successfully used this camera recently in a similar situation. Although the camera provides very good results using Auto Exposure, I anticipated that this situation would be a challenge and switched to Manual Exposure mode.
