• No, this unit will NOT play VCR tapes. (Was this a joke question.) The world's last remaining VCR company stopped production in July 2016 - so there may be a few more VCRs out there to be purchased. (Or hit the yard sale track.) Incidentally, I still had a VCR but found that trying to play it through the newer digital tuners was not possible. Much cheaper now to just replace your old VHS movies with digital versions (or at least DVD).

• This is a blu ray player that plays blu rays and dvd's. Sorry but you need a VCR to watch VCR tapes.
