how can you delete more than one picture at a time? null

I use my iPad when it downloads it ask if I want to delete the photo on the card. You can do the same thing on a computer. I don’t know any way to delete more than one at a tim on the camera short of formatting the card which the camera will do but you delete all pictures when you do that.
