“Do you have to download software to put your pictures on computer? I am not on the internet and my laptop is Vista basic so software might not be compatible. Also I was thinking of buying the hx60 but the pics did not look sharp is the hx80 any better.”

No. You can either put the memory disk into your computer if it has a slot for that or you can connect it with the cord that comes with the camera and transfer your pictures that way. No software required.
