I've got the HX50 that I love. It's been great so far for two years and I shoot every day. I've shot a couple of short burst videos so wouldn't be qualified on the video question. The HX80 is the newer version of my HX50. I'd sure buy it.

Certain variables, such as the amount of use (or lack thereof) a product receives and the environmental conditions in which a product is being used, play a part in the life expectancy of a product. -Anthony
