It is a great camera ,zoom is 30x +digital . wi fi is somewhat confusing if you haven't used it . new switch for flash is handy. Green and Gold modes work for most everything. Small easy to use camera with lots of features. I am 67 and really like the camera so I would imagine they would also like it. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All these pocket cameras have a learning curve but on auto you can usually get great pictures without much fuss. This camera has a lot of user controls that may confuse the elderly but if your parents are used to using some tech they should be OK sticking to auto. You just need to show them how to get it back on auto when they inevitably accidently switch it to a manual setting. It they are total tech failures go for a simple point and shoot digital camera and save money.
