Hello! There are 2 models of Sony OTC hearing aids, the CRE-C10 and the CRE-E10. Both models utilize the Sony Hearing Control App to set-up the hearing aids and customize afterward. Once the hearing aids are set-up using the app, someone like your dad could just put them in and go. The app would only be needed for the initial set-up and any potential adjustments later.
