• Yes this lens works great on the Sony 6000, 6300 and 6500. On crop sensor zoom becomes 150 - 600 mm.

• Yes it will. If you search Sony’s e-support they have a document showing lens compatibility. They tell you exact details how it won’t function between one camera to the next. It will function almost every way. This was its only note on the a6300. Otherwise fully compatible. “When a Teleconverter (SEL20TC) is mounted, aperture values over 64 in the Exposure Setting Guide will not be displayed correctly.” It works great on my a6000. I have also used it on an a5100. It works as a 150-600mm on the aps-c bodies.
