yes, it will work on any Sony E-Mount camera. You even get the added benefit of the a6000 being an APS-C gives you a crop sensor'ed range of 150-600mm. HOWEVER, that being said, just because you can technically drive a Lamborghini on a dirt road, doesn't mean you should. You are looking at having a lens that is 3 times the weight of your camera AND that camera is very small in the hands. The setup would be awkward for sure, but doable. Highly recommend you tripod the lens. That 3 pounds extending out 9 inches or more, just doesn't seem like a good thing for your a6000's E-Mount.
