I had no issues with the audio....but remember i bought my camera for the purpose of having home videos for my daughter (new born baby). Sounds good to me but i dont know about how it'll sound for a band...for the price you would think good enough but i dont know...try talking to a best buy employee with expertise on this...thats what we did...we wanted high quality stuff and just for our baby and this camera cost me $1200 including the 2 year warranty where they have to replace it if i drop it or if it stops working...but so far no issues
