- Answer Regarding warranty: I bought an open-box-excellent-condition HDR-CX405 handycam. It does not have built-in harddrive so I also bought large-storage micro SD cards. This handycam is SOOO lightweight :) My Handycam I'd had since 2007 (which was Built in hard drive) was heavy and lasted me a good 10 yrs. So this new SD card version seems wonderful. So lightweight I just love it. Don't drop it though as I bet it would crack :( Seems to work great :) The paperwork in the Box says "limited warranty 1 year). I bought a 3-year $70 geek squad protection JUST IN CASE. HOpe this helps :)

QuestionHey so I'm looking for a camera thats gonna replace my webcam will this cam corder connect to my computer that will work like a webcam I make videos sitting down so I was wondering if this would be enough for me? Thank you

- Answer Hello Alex, this camera can be used as a webcam but will require additional hardware (an external capture card) as it can only output video signal through HDMI and most computers are not equipped to receive a video signal in via HDMI. But it will offer you a greater video quality than a webcam. I'd also recommend to look for a model with clean HDMI out (meaning no recording settings or menu items are displayed on the output).

- Answer Hi, these are the list of items that comes with the camcorder : Rechargeable Battery Pack (NP-BX1), AC Adapter, USB Connection Support Cable, HDMI (micro) Cable, Operating Guide. The camcorder does have Micro HDMI Output. Any video file recorded from the camcorder can be uploaded to Youtube.

- Answer Remove the memory card and put it in a computer. Download videos to the computer. Some DVD players may have ability to transfer pictures from memory card to a dvd-I’m just not sure about that option. I think some DVD players have a memory card slot to play pictures directly to your tv.

- Answer There are no transfer capabilities built into this model. You would have to spend about twice as much money for one that does. However you can download the memory card to a laptop or desktop computer for editing and sending.

- Answer This camera cannot be used as a web cam. The USB driver is for mass storage only. The HDMI is for playback purposes only.

- Answer This model number does not have the ability to live stream directly from the camera. You can purchase and HDMI capture card for your computer to allow you to capture the video form the camcorder.
