This camera does not superimpose date and time on the video.

In the settings menu, you need to turn on "date and time" for it to impose on video while recording and while watching on camera. When you transfer the video to your computer it will not display the time stamp. Go to this website "https://www.dts8888.com/index.htm" and click on the link for VATS. You can download the software for about $20 bucks, which includes all future updates for free. Install the program, follow the online instructions (very easy) and you will now have "date and time stamped" video that you can save or share. I have this camera and the program worked flawlessly. Hope this helps.
