“Does the last input selection used remain when turning the soundbar back on? Ex. If I had it on HDMI1 when I power it off, will it go back to HDMI1 when I power it back on, or does it revert to a default setting that I have to manually change each time?”

Generally yes. However, it depends what signal wakes your soundbar or TV up. Example, i use Roku to turn TV on and the sound bar goes to TV. If I turn TV off, and i use my 4k player to wake/ turn TV on, my sound bar will change to HDM1 input. Makes sense?
