I would check with Sony tech to see if they recommend using those other batteries. In my experience, the batteries are different for a reason. It may be pin configuration or a voltage difference. Nevertheless, it is always wise to consult the manual or manufacturer directly for any and all issues of this nature.I'd rather be safe than sorry. Buying a new battery is far cheaper than buying a new camera / camcorder! Also, try the Sony website for battery compatibility charts.
