I had a hard time finding a battery for my Sony DCR-SX85 Handycam. This battery was a little pricey, but it works great!

Does the job without having to worry about battery power. Has a low profile design that does not get in the way. I had a generic battery that was twice this size with the same amount of power, but caused a start-up lag. Will stick with Sony from now on. The quality and reliability is there.

I like the small size batteries, they last a long time new. Easy to quickly change them out on the camera when in a hurry.

Must have for extra recording time on the new Sony Handycam. Easy to charge and install on the camera.

Needed an extra battery pack for a wedding and had to get one fast. Luckily Best Buy has them in the stores as well online to get them. They are Sony made so they are accurate on the amount of battery life left over. This battery last quite long for it's size.

This battery was definitely worth it. I bought it specifically for my trip to Colorado. I wanted to document the entire mountain climb. With my camcorder set on the MAX video quality it would allow...my camcorder told me I had 5 hours worth of battery. Let's put it this way...I never went CLOSE to going dead on my trip. I specifically bought this battery because of the Sony brand. I wasn't going to buy cheap for something as important as I wanted it. Well worth if you're looking for a battery.

It's a battery... However, it exceeded our expectations and perhaps the advertising. The salesmen told us not to expect more than 3 hours out of it despite the advertised time. This was pretty disappointing because we needed it for a very long day. Anyways, the battery probably didn't last longer than advertised but since the camera was off and on (though on more than off) at the end of the day we still had a quarter of the charge left. I'd highly recommend this but I'd also beware of the fitment, on our camera the size of the battery got in the way and was kind of annoying..

Before our son was born, my wife and I purchased a camcorder and noticed that the battery that was included wouldn't get more than an hour of use per charge. This battery was the perfect upgrade. It is not too heavy/bulky and offers up to 2.5 - 3 hours of use per charge. The price cannot be beat. If you were thinking of getting a generic battery off of eBay, do yourself a favor and stick to a genuine Sony battery. You won't be disappointed.

We bought this when we got our video camera. Is a great replacement for the battery that came with or camera. We decided to make the original camera battery a backup... In those just in case moments.

It is very good battery, it's last me five hours of continue recording, i highly recommend for someone who is going to vacation, it give you a good time to records

The battery that comes with any sony camcorder is adequate but not good enough for a whole day's use. This one definitely is and works as expected
