Hello, the diffrence bettween the V and H series batteries is Cell size, the H series are larger and have a higher capacity and recording time, the P series is a diffrent battery size. without the Model of your Camcorder i cannot inform you as to the compatibility of this battery. you can find this information at: http://esupport.sony.com enter the model of your camcorder, select marketing specs and warranty and under - Handycam Handbook there is a page listed with all batteries compatible with your camera and battery life.
