Considering the base price of a PS4 controller is 59.99 and a PS5 controller is 69.99, I would say no, you couldn't do a direct trade in.

I highly doubt it. This controller is no where near the same as a DualShock 4. I could be wrong.

You’ll pay extra unless you just bought the ps4 controller. If you just bought the controller you can return it or exchange it as longs as the 15 days haven’t pass. Otherwise you’ll get some credit to use on your next purchase. In this case it will be for the ps5 controller.
