I recently got mine and its an A. Still a great product.

As of July 2022 I can confirm the black controller I received was the A version.

I believe these are the newer model controllers because I just bought mine and it was a newer model so chances are your controller will also be a newer model.

That depends on the batch of each controller. You would need to see the individual controllers in the store to find out.
