• Yes it does I have used the warranty for controller drift for this remote before my original ps5 remote only lasted me about 3 months and then developed unplayable controller drift

• Good question. Actually it will be covered by Playstation you will have to mail it in. But they won't make it easy. As this has happened to a friend of mine. He gave up and just bought a new one.
