“Wiil this product work on a 5 year old Samsung TV? I believe back then it was the 6000 series Samsung TV and has a Bluetooth option on the TV’s sound menu BTW-this TV will not connect to my Apple Beats wireless ear plugs”

If it's Bluetooth enabled yes it would. As long as that product or that TV comes with Bluetooth which I believe most of them do you should be able to connect wirelessly.
