This is to the so called "Sales Associate". Yes you need to put a product in a separate box even if you think the product packaging already counts as a box. Most people who buy special edition items are collectors and the outer package is part of that collectable. Even if they aren't a collector, shipping a product without extra packaging, "box within a box", knowing that outer packaging, will get damaged during shipping, is just bad buisness practice. It's like saying "hey we shoved it in the mail box, our job is done, we dont care of it makes it to you in one piece" Amazon does an excellent job of shipping, with a heavy duty box and plenty of bubble cushions. My last order was shipped through ups with 2 day shipping. The outer box was ripped, beat up and tape almost coming off, but the boxes and items inside were perfectly safe. That's why a "box within a box" is always a good idea and should always be shipped that way if you value your customers. As a person who works in retail myself, and does everything to make sure my customers are satisfied, I hope it's not all of best buy that has this bad idea of what acceptable shipping practices are.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To the sales associate saying there’s no need to put a box inside a box because Sony sent it in a large box you are an incompetent idio* that clealry does not understand collectors! DOUBLE BOXING ITEMS that are collectible is a must and if you say there is no need for a double box then Go jump off a bridge please. Sales associates with no shipping common sense!! Also it should be 2 shippers with the product box being the 3rd is the best way to ship but business’s DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO SHIP TO COLLECTORS!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sony packages the PS4 Pro in a large box so we will most likely use this method to ship. No need to put one box in another :)
