A:AnswerThat's a great question and one I would like to know as well! I also had it in my cart, made it to the payment screen, entered payment info, then NADA! I did it over and over for 6 hours. What a total FUSTER CLUCK! Not sure who's to blame, Sony or retailers... Regardless, there are gonna be a LOT if unhappy people after this one!
A:AnswerYes, Ps4 controllers DO work... BUT they will only work with PS4 games on the PS5 (most PS4 games should be backwards compatible according to Sony, with many of the more popular ones tested and confirmed working up to standards at PS5 launch day with some free to install and play Day 1 if you remain subscribed to PS+ so google a list of those up to avoid buying those games if you have PS+). PS5 games will ONLY work with the dualsense (the PS5 controller) but a dualsense controller comes with each model of PS5, along with their HDMI 2.1 cable, a cord for the usb-C port to charge the dual sense or use it on the machine, and the AC Power cord for the system as well as a stand for the system.
A:AnswerThey don't publicize it, but there's an app called Hot Stock that helped me out a lot--I recommend the premium subscription. Reddit also has some great groups that were amazingly helpful and supportive and Twitter has some bots you can follow that send out notifications. It was actually Hot Stock and Twittter blowing up my watch at work that helped me net mine.
A:AnswerGet a twitter, follow EVERY stock updater, and keep your phone notifications on. You can get one in a few days that way. Took me 3 days once I started looking.
A:AnswerThere are several Twitter accounts and other services available that automatically notify users when stock is available from several stores. I got mine from following and turning on notifications for the account “PS5 In Stock Alerts” on Twitter.
Many things are pointing to the system being restocked more regularly in the near future, so if this doesn’t do you any good, you shouldn’t have to wait much longer before you can walk into a store to purchase a PS5.
A:AnswerGo to Twitter, follow a Twitter account called “Site Supply” turn on post notifications and every time there is a restock try your hardest to get one. Make sure you are logged in and have your card ready. I got very lucky they are very hard to come by and beat the scalpers
A:AnswerI don’t know if Best Buy has an alert system, but it really helps to follow Twitter accounts such as @PS5Drop, @spieltimes, and @YTNextGenGaming. These guys are constantly monitoring websites such as Best Buy to check if stock is available. They’ve helped me get an Xbox and ps5 from Best Buy.
A:AnswerFrom my experience refreshing didn’t work. I had to bookmark the page, close it out and reopen it. I’ve had good experiences on here. Didn’t get a PS5 because I was late but they were better than Walmart
A:AnswerOpen box items are just products that have been opened by a customer and returned for whatever reason. Typically manufacturer warranty is still intact. It's basically a personal decision on whether you are comfortable with buying an item that was opened and returned (unknown history). If it were me and I had to have one but the only choice was open box or a marked up one from a scalper, I'd definitely get the open box one and keep the money saved. Just make sure to test it out fully during the return window and ensure manufacturer warranty is intact to cover any problems after the return window.
A:AnswerThis literally happened to me on launch day, had it in cart, @ checkout. Said pick up in 6days, then please wait. 8 days, then please wait.. Next there are none available for 250 miles from me. Taken right from my cart in the checkout phase. Best Buys answer, they put me on a "dont hold your breath" list.. Thanks Best Buy...
