can anyone confirm the pre orders where actually live? I got the email and still could not pre order. judging by the comments going back more 4 hrs I dont think they where actually live. null

They were live, and the website couldn't handle it. I had one in my cart, chosen my store, and entered payment info. Website crashed. I sit here this morning with no PS5 ordered.

Yes they went live my friend ordered his at 3AM on the East and said it closed down shorty there after. Zero communication from these big companies make me want to go elsewhere.

I was able to get a preorder. I got mine at 7:50 PM est last night. It was the disc version. I wanted the digital but it was already sold out. No one got notified I dont think. I just constantly checked every website after the Sony press anouncement.

yea bro the preorders were actually real, if you go on eBay there are already people trying to sell the ps5 for double the price and they shoe proof of the preorder. yesterday i tried to preorder my ps5 on target but instead it said "PS5 preorders have been sold out".

it went live for sure. during the day I waited like 2-3 hours to check out, didn't ever make it past the cart screen. logged in at like 9:30 p.m PST and was able to get to the checkout page .. took me 3 hours but I was able to preorder.

I spent 4 hours navigating the checkout by constantly "clicking" submit buttons and the system kept booting me and restarting the checkout process but eventually I was able to process my pre-order...so yes, the site was swamped and they were live and sold out after 3am Thursday. They went live on Wednesday around 8:20pm EST unannounced and around 10pm they disabled the links. Then around 12:15am Thursday, the links were re-enabled and went completely dead sometime after 3am.

Hello. I was wondering the same thing at first. There is no true way of knowing. Sadly, this whole pre order thing wasn't well planned. It doesn't take much to crash a website. Places like Best Buy, and other brick building places should've allowed for pre orders to be walk-ins only for the first 24 hrs. Certain places did pre orders yesterday.

Yea preorders were live. I secured a console and received my confirmation email. PlayStation made a small amount of consoles in the first production and preorders sold out across all retailers.
