“After I turn off my PS5 and put the controller onto the charging dock, placing the controller on the charging dock turns my PS5 back on every time. Is this suppose to happen? Is there a way to not have the PS5 turn on when placing on the dock?”

• I had this happen a few times early on, then realized I was actually holding the controller's PS button as I was placing the controller into the dock. As I was setting the controller in the dock it was turning the PS5 back on. See if this is something you may be doing and not realize.

• No. If you have the Sony branded PS5 controller charging dock, you do not need to connect to the console. Plug into any AC outlet and it will charge 2 controllers very quickly. It’s amazing!
