Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you purchased a PS Plus 12 Month card, it should have been delivered along with the PS4. It should be a blue card with a scratch of section on the back that your granddaughter will have to enter into her PSN account after she activates her PS4

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.She just needs to turn on the console. Go to the PlayStation sidebar and go down until you see redeem code on the left hand side then put the 12 digit code in and it should redeem.
