No. You activate on your playstation account. The instructions are on PSPlus card. Be sure to uncheck AUTO RENEWAL option to prevent further charges IF You have your credit card on account. Using these cards prevents the use of your credit card. The same applies to XBox Live.

It is not activated until you put the code into your PlayStation... Hope that helps!

No, the subscription is not activated until the code on the back is redeemed, at which point it will begin.

The card gets activated at purchase but the timer doesn't start until the code on the card is redeemed on the console.

Buying only activates the code to be able to be used.You will have to go to the play station store and redeem it there to play online
