Can this work flawlessly outside the US? null

On AM (MW) there should be no issue using this radio anywhere in the world. On FM you may not be able to receive all stations in certain countries (such as Japan or some former members of the Soviet Union) that have FM broadcast stations operating below 87.5 MHz as that is the low end of this radio's tuning range. For stations that are within the tuning range (87.5 - 108 MHz) you should have no problem receiving them worldwide. Do also note that this radio only receives analog broadcasts so it will not work in countries that have switched entirely to digital radio broadcasting (which is only a handful today, but will likely grow in the coming years).
