• No, When you read the manual this is not the right battery. the A100 doesn't have the InfoLithium readout. You can't use standard NP-FM50 batteries in the A100.

• It looks took be the same size, but I don't know for sure. Sony's website has a replacement battery listing which battery will work for which camera. That's how I bought a back up. Good luck!
