I had a problem with synching, too. You must Download the BRAVIA CONNECT app on your phone. It will allow you to synch it right away.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Sammy, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, this wireless subwoofer cannot be connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth connection. It uses its own wireless transmission to connect with the compatible models (HT-A9/HT-A7000/HT-A5000/HT-A3000/HT-S2000). It has no conventional Bluetooth capability. When the soundbar is off. the wireless connection between it and the subwoofer is inactive. A recommended way to play music from your phone through the speaker system is to turn on the soundbar and pair your phone with the soundbar's Bluetooth or use the built-in Wi-Fi and stream music. Adding an optional subwoofer that handles low frequencies allows the system to reproduce sound with greater impact and power than before. Regards, Jess
