• I'm aware I can connect 2 speakers together but what about more than 2 speakers?

• Yes, there is a speaker add function that will allow 2 speakers to play over bluetooth at the same time. I have not tried out the feature, however. https://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb12/v1/en/contents/TP0002133471.html
