“I understand this unit has the ability to play both A and B at the same time, but when doing so can you control the volume of each independently? Also, can I connect 2 sets of speakers to each channel? Thanks.”

No and yes. Not gonna get super great sound with two sets on one channel being a pinch down speaker connection in the back
