“Why won't the front of my Sony receiver str DH 190 light come on? When I turn it on the green light come on for a second where the power button is and then it'll shut itself off? As far as the protector light coming on it doesn't..the front screen period?”

There maybe many reasons that may occur, but it appears the receiver is protecting itself. If there is a severe problem, I don’t think the protection light has to engage. Check the wiring of your speakers to see if any are crossed. It’s also an good idea to check all wiring including the power line. Finally, there might be an internal issue. If you cannot find any wiring issue and this continues you should give Sony a call.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Dee! To resolve the issue, turn the AV receiver off and leave it off for at least 30 minutes. If the issue continues to occur after the unit is turned back on, check the speaker cables to eliminate the short-circuit problem. Regards, David
