Hi Musicgirl, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you cannot connect a subwoofer that has its own external amp. However, you can connect an active subwoofer to this unit. Please note: Check the subwoofer to determine if it has IN and OUT speaker wire connections. If so, connect the left and right speaker wires from the stereo receiver into the left and right speaker IN on the subwoofer. Then, connect speaker wire from the left and right speaker OUT on the subwoofer to the left and right main speakers. If the subwoofer does not have IN and OUT speaker wire connections, then it will not be compatible with the stereo receiver. Hope this helps! -Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its a stereo amp with only 2 channels. A subwoofer is normally associated with a 5.1 or better receiver that sends a base signal to the subwoofer. If your subwoofer is equipped with line level inputs you can run speaker wires from the "B" side of the speaker outputs to the sub.
