“I want to play my externals speakers with my Samsung 40" TV new in 2018. Can I hook up the TV to this receiver & hook up my 30 yr old speakers that have the copper and silver colored wires to the receiver set the receiver on auxiliary to play audio on TV?”

• I don't see why you couldn't . I have myan hooked up to my CD player with older speakers. :)
